I call my mother on Sundays

like a religious ritual, or 

habit. I talk to her in Spanish.

She says.

"honesty is the best policy"

play on words.

She continues:

"The romans used to fix up their statues with 'cera".

But wax melts. It goes away. Now we understand that things

are better as they remain."

"Thanks mom."
